The inspiration for this piece was my girlfriend Melissa. We've been together for over a year and half and it's been amazing. She's a very loving, compassionate and caring person, and she means the world to me. I wanted to convey how I felt in a little more than words, so this past valentine's day, I designed "This Heart of Mine" and gave it to her as a gift. My theme this year was based around the anatomy of the heart, so my design fit quite well with the other gifts I gave her. As you can see from the design, the heart takes center stage, but it's not so in your face as to distract you from the rest of it's surroundings. Not only did I enjoy designing this, it also sparked another idea that I will begin working on soon...
